Serie A brothers Hamed and Amad Traore reportedly risk long bans, amidst allegations they may have lied about the identity of their father.
La Repubblica reports how the prosecutor’s office in Parma investigated five Ivorians for ‘aiding illegal immigration’ into Italy.
One of them was a 45-year-old male named Hamed Mamadou Traore whom, it is alleged, Hamed Jr and Amad used to get into the country.
Another of those currently being investigated is an Atalanta employee by the name of Marina Edwige Carine Teher.
Although neither the Sassuolo midfielder nor Atalanta winger are formally considered suspects, the newspaper warns they risk a long suspension from football if found guilty of being complicit.
A third suspect, Bly Blaise Tehe, was accused in December 2017 of illegally bringing five young Ivorian footballers into Italy, among them Hamed and Amad.
The situation is similar to that of former Chievo and Inter winger Eriberto, who eventually came out as Luciano, four years older than he had claimed.
